Placing an Order
The simplest way to order wine from the Carbunup Crest website is to click on the 'Order Wine' tab, which appears highlighted on the top banner on the home page. This will take you to a page displaying the name, price and a description of all of the wines on offer. Next to each wine there is a dynamic field where the customer can enter the quantity of each wine they would like to order.
Once the required quantities have been entered, the customer clicks on the 'Add order to cart' button on the bottom of the page. This takes them to a page displaying their order. They still have the ability to make alterations to the quantities ordered or remove any items. There is also a chance to 'continue shopping' which takes them back to the main order page.
Next the customer is directed to a secure checkout, where they are required to enter their email address and are asked if they have a password. If they answer yes, they are given the opportunity to enter it now.
Those who don't have a password are directed to a page asking for personal details, shipping address and permission to be added to the mailing list.
Once these details are entered, the customer is taken to a page to confirm their order. They can also leave shipping instructions and add any comments. Once the order is confirmed they are required to enter credit card details. When this is complete the final page in the process is a printable version of the order including all details and a description of the wines ordered.
The alternative way to order wine is whilst you are browsing. If you go into the 'Wines' tab on the home page you are directed to a list of wines, their description and price. You have the option of finding out more by clicking on the link 'more information'. This link directs you to a more comprehensive description of the wine including reviews, awards and food recommendations. There is an option on this page to add the item to the shopping cart. If you choose to add an item you are directed to the 'Your Order' page and you continue to follow the ordering process as above.
